Coached Swim

Coached Swim through Tri Fitness is for everyone … from beginner to Ironman.

Our accomplished coaches will work with you to define your goals, whether you are just jumping in for the first time or you plan on swimming across the English Channel.

Our swim sessions cover it all:

  • Drills (to improve technique)
  • Skill sets
  • Speed sets
  • Endurance sets

Every session is designed to improve your form and efficiency.  You''ll leave a better swimmer than when you entered!

Plus, get motivated by swimming with other like-minded athletes.

Monday:  6:00 am

Tuesday:  6:30 pm (This is a Tri Club swim session)

Saturday:  6:30am; 7:30 am My First Coached swim

Unless otherwise noted, the swims are held at Xperience Fitness in Vadnais Heights (map).

Drop-Ins are welcome and encouraged.  Cash or checks are accepted. Drop In fee is $22.50 OR you can also pick up a 10-pack of swim sessions for only $175. Brianna Chu - Swim Coach

Hometown:  Racine,  WI

Some of my favorites:  Jumping in a lake or fountain after a hot run, curling up in bed when your body is hurting after a hard workout, beating up on training partners during practice, dogs.

Fitness Background:  My primary sport was swimming for 12 years, culminating in swimming backstroke and sprint freestyle at the University of Minnesota.  I have always struggled with asthma, and now I am healthier doing sports that keep me in the fresh air.

I love to cross-country ski in the winter and the variety in triathlon training keeps things fun.  Some notable race experiences I've had include competing in the draft-legal sprint at the USAT Collegiate Nationals and the American Birkebeiner ski race.  I have had some awesome coaches and teammates throughout the years who have influenced my approach to training and competition.  I think race-day confidence comes from being familiar with the pain from training and working on "the little things" on a day-to-day basis.

 

Tracy Angelo - Swim Coach

Hometown: Forest Lake, MN

Some of my favorites: My family! My puppies! Don Julios! LSD (long slow distance) runs with friends! People! Hackie Sac! Diet Coke with lime and a good cup of coffee!

Fitness Background: I have been an Aquatics Supervisor for 13 years and an Authorized Provider of The American Red Cross. I am a Lifeguard Instructor, a Water Safety Instructor, and a FA/CPR/AED Instructor for the professional and workplace. I have run 8 marathons with a 3:53 PR. I love working with athletes and getting them excited about swimming. You must have a purpose in the pool - let me help you with that purpose! My coaching philosphy is "Everyone is a Someone!"
