Flip Turn Clinics

Master the art of flip turns!

As a triathlete, you (hopefully) will never need to do a flip turn during competition. So, you ask, “why do we need this skill?”

  1. Unlike the pool, in open water there is no “end of the pool” where athletes like to pause, take an extra break, and get swimming again. This extra breathing doesn’t seem like much, but when you consider you touch one end (or the other) of the pool 66 times (33 laps) in 1 mile, equaling 66 extra breaths, you might start to think differently.
  2. You will become stronger in the water.
  3. Flip turns will extend your workout and create more efficiency
  4. It is really cool looking!!!


This clinic is designed for anyone who has never learned how to do flip turns or is interested in learning how to improve their technique and learn the art of doing effective flip turns.
