Run Clinics

Become a better runner!

Do you get winded easily or want to improve your endurance, stride, run speed, distance, or form? Want to perform better in your next race or simply learn safe technique so you can incorporate running into your workout/training routine? Join our Run Clinics and learn everything you need to know from our experienced run coach to increase your speed with less effort for a better run! The cost is $40 for 120 minutes.


Level 1

Build a solid foundation!

Who:

Level 1 is for those who are just getting started, or have never been taught "how to" run. That might sound dumb, but there's a lot more to running than just walking faster. 

Included training/info:

  • Phases of run gait
  • Footwear - Is what I have good enough?
  • Pre-run routine
  • Level 1 strength training
  • Run dynamics and why you should care
  • See and learn proper posture while running
  • Suggested safe and effective training progression

When:

  • Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 10:00-11:30am

Level 2

Take your running to the next level!

Who:

In Level 2 we help improve your gait and strength. You'll also learn why running MORE isn't necessarily better for improving performance.

Included training/info:

  • Review of stretching/foam rolling/dynamic stretching
  • Gait assessment with video analysis
  • Strength training based on gait analysis
  • Level 2 strength training progression/plyometrics
  • Benefits of cross-training/trail running/year round outdoor running
  • What to wear - being prepared for all conditions
  • Methods of training (“Canned programs”, HR/RPE/Moxy…just to touch on it)
  • Training nutrition/hydration

  • Saturday, May 19th, 2018 from 12:00-1:30pm

Level 3

Get race ready!

Who:

Level 3 is designed to help you get read for your big race! Learn to prep for your race physically and train for an effective and efficient race day. 

Included training/info:

  • Setting up your race season - A, B, C races
  • Race taper
  • Nutrition - pre-race/race day
  • Moxy testing
  • Race day apparel
  • Race week tips

When:

  • Saturday, May 19th, 2018 from 1:45-3:15pm
  • Saturday, August 18th, 2018 from 8:30-10:00am

Please note that if there are less than 3 registrants for a run clinic the clinic will be rescheduled. You will be contacted if any changes are made. 

Optional Related Services:

Stryd Run Power Assessment. This assessment can be done every 4 weeks to help you see your progress as well as guide your ongoing training program. Using the Stryd power meter and our analysis, we will determine inefficiencies and come up with paces for your long runs, tempo runs, and interval work.
